    Alabama is in some sense the star of this report, but that's not a compliment.     Athol Fugard is one of my all-time favorite playwrights. It is an absolute honor that he would grant us the rights to Exits and Entrances ahead of many other more established theatre companies. In my mind, the best way to return this compliment is to devote our entire season to him. I see The Island as sort of a companion piece.

    We're going to miss all of the good things he's done for us. I think he's been a classic overachiever. Because you're an overachiever doesn't mean you're not a good player. But he's certainly maximized his talent, which I think is a tremendous compliment.

    The impact of this ruling is that even students who ask critical questions about Darwinism, or about intelligent design theory will scare administrators' about whether that puts the school in constitutional jeopardy. There's already been a negative chilling effect on open inquiry in places such as Ohio and South Carolina. Judge Jones' message is clear give Darwin only praise, or else face the wrath of the judiciary.

    As metal merges with metal, those who chant the Praises of the Lord are absorbed into the Praiseworthy Lord. Like the poppies, they are dyed in the deep crimson color of Truthfulness. Those contented souls who meditate on the Lord with single-minded love, meet the True Lord.
