I was happy we were able to get a little rhythm going there in the first half. We had a good mix of the run and the pass and the play-action. We had some good drives.

To be honest with you, I got sucked up on the play-action and I was just trying to recover. The ball just kind of hit me, so it wasn't as good as it looked.
They've got a good running game, a good play-action passing game, so it's going to be a tremendous challenge.
Our biggest thing is we can't fall behind early like we did. We can't become predictable on offense. Where we have had effectiveness over the last four or five years is when we can mix up the run and the pass. When we are effective running the ball then we can get our play-action going. We can get our drop-back going. We keep defenses on their heels and keep them off-balance because they don't know where we're coming.
I've seen other teams leaving tight ends in, leaving a back in ... and use a lot of play-action pass stuff to try and nullify our pass rush.
We'll take that every week. If you can run, then you can go to play-action. We knew they'd have everyone up to play the run.
We changed a little bit. When we go to our play-action (passes), Jay is rolling out and Drew is setting up. Drew is more of a straight drop back passer, which allows to run some flood routes.
They put a real physical front up there with backers stacked in the box and we were still able to establish our fullback for the whole game, ... When our O-line does their job and Paul (Rios) does his, that really opens up our play-action pass for big plays. And Bennett on the outside -- he does a special job out there.
We saw what they were doing when we went to two tight ends. They were really stacking everybody up, especially to the strong side. We went to the play-action. We thought we had a real good shot at hitting it. And if we didn't hit it down the field, we had an out with Thomas in the flat.
It's like what we're doing here -- run the football well, play-action well, then third down is a big package, as he liked to call, an exotic, smash-mouth offense. You're not going to be one-dimensional. He likes to throw everything out there.
He had time to throw. Some of their play-action bought them good time. We were geared up to stop the run, which we did do a pretty fair job of.
I think (Black and Bober) did well, ... But when you get that kind of lead, you want to start pounding the ball... . Most of our passing was play-action. That took a lot of pressure off those guys.
We were doing good running the ball and then called a play-action pass and Will was open at the back -- good protection and a good catch.
They aren't your normal team in this league. They are a running team much like us. We have to prepare for what Rocky and the rest of their offense does well, they run and mix in the play-action pass.
It's just part of our offense. They talked about us running the ball and that's all we did. So I thought they might be run-supporting. We took play-action and the safety got lost.
It shows the character of our offensive line, ... If something works, we'll keep going to it. (In Cam Cameron) we don't have one of those offensive coordinators trying to make all those sexy plays, with play-action and bootlegs. We run it, and we run it. Then sooner or later, you'll get a big catch.
