    It seems like at Purdue and then the Chargers and then to here -- it's kind of a situation where maybe they had a couple of rough seasons. The community was just craving that winner.     It was tough to know that was the end of our chances to make it into the playoffs. To come home and get to spend time with family, I think that got everyone's mind off it a short period of time and allowed everyone to take a deep breath and see what can we accomplish this last game.

    He was a big part of that defense that year. I think he led the team in tackles. And for just a freshman playing free safety, that's pretty impressive. He came up with some big plays.

    It's just part of the process. It's not unusual it happens all the time. Trust me, none of the guys on the team are worried about it.

    It's a Charger-Raider game. It's been like that for a long time as far as intensity. Both sides really get up for it.

    In my mind, I feel like I'm going to come back better than ever. I wouldn't even call it a setback. I think it's an opportunity for me to just get going a little bit earlier than expected and rehabbing and working out and making sure that when I come back I'm better than I was when I went in.

    The linebacker had his back to him. If I throw it out in front, I've got to make a perfect throw. I throw it in the back of the linebacker knowing, because I trust Keenan, he'll adjust and make a play.

    We believed we were going to go there and win, keep our playoff hopes alive. Of course, everybody's talking about the streak being broken and everything else. But really, for us, that was just another team in our path and another game we had to win in order to go on and achieve the goals we set at the beginning of the year.
