    There are few of us but who have been touched somehow by death. Some may not have been touched closely by it nor yet have kept vigil with it, but somewhere along our lives, most of us are sorely bereft of someone near and deeply cherished and all of us will some day meet it face to face.

    Typically after a student passes away, the community will do something like planting a tree or holding a vigil. We support doing something to celebrate his life. But the students ultimately will make that decision.

    This year we have several baptisms to perform at the Vigil on Saturday. There is a very large Portuguese and Spanish community in Milford so on Sunday we offer Masses in English and Spanish. Our 1030 Masses will probably be attended by 1,300 people.
