I work out, I go to pilates, I walk and I eat everything I can get my hands on.
Pilates reveals your weaknesses. If one side of your body is stronger than the other, you know it pretty quickly. You need to correct that, and to do so you have to work at it.
I skate about 15 to 20 hours a week and also incorporate a lot of off-ice training. I take ballet and Pilates classes and lift weights with my physical therapist when I'm not on the ice.
I've done yoga, and I want to start Pilates soon.

Pilates has so many applications for everyone. It's a system of total body conditioning that prepares people for functional fitness ... It improves postural problems, strengthens and stabilizes the core, helps prevent injuries as you get older and heightens body awareness.
It's great because this allows them to study with various teachers, which is something they can't do here. They get to have a wide array of ballet classes-classes they wouldn't normally be able to take like classical jazz, Pilates, or character dancing.
