Quotes about orr (16 Quotes)

Catch22 specified that a concern for one's safety . . . was the process of a rational mind. Orr was crazy and could be grounded. All he had to do was ask, and as soon as he did, he would no longer be crazy and would have to fly more missions.

(Orr) did a nice job today. I've always been a Stubby Clapp fan and the fact that he'll probably be our second baseman means he'll get an opportunity to go out and shine one more time.

Orr has only seven catches overall but they've been timely, according to Mason, which goes along with his blocking. He had a 7-yard catch the other day at North Carolina, ... that was as good of a catch as you'll see in tight quarters.

There was only one catch and that was Catch-22. Orr would be crazy to fly more missions and sane if he didn't, but if he was sane he had to fly them. If he flew them he was crazy and didn't have to; but if he didn't want to he was sane and had to.

He's going to be a stud. You can just see it. He's excited to be at the rink every day. He does everything at the fastest tempo that he possibly can and God does he pound the puck. He's leading our team in shots in the preseason by a wide margin. It isn't like he's Bobby Orr leading the attack, he gets it at the point, he pounds it and he hits the net. Good things happen when you are doing that.

To identify one reason would be unfair to Louis. It's not a matter of wins and losses. There were problematic things throughout the entire program. This is not an indication of how I feel about Louis Orr. There is not a finer, more genuine and honest man than Louis Orr. I have a lot of respect for him.

I would say Wayne Gretzky is No. 1. I would have a hard time not putting Bobby Orr as two. If Mario would have stayed healthy, he might have been No. 1, but I also think you have to put Gordie Howe in there. Gordie Howe gave hockey an identity.

It's my wedding night, and we're in a posh New York City hotel ready to ... you know ... when I get a call, ... It's Jim, and he's down in the lobby and he wants to meet with me. He tells me there's this kid named Louie Orr in Cincinnati that we just have to land, and he says he needs me to get there and seal the deal. I tell him, 'Jim, it's my wedding night.' He was single at the time and totally consumed with basketball, so I guess he didn't understand.

The resolution does not make it law. It also has to be certified by the secretary of state, which they haven't done yet. I think they (Orr) are having second thoughts about it, and they should.

We do support the city of Orr's concern for safety, ... But we're still in the research mode here. Just because a law is passed doesn't mean that the local police or other law enforcement are capable of enforcing it. We don't know if we have enforceability yet. We're hoping it's something that the railroad will work out with the city of Orr rather than becoming an adversarial relationship.

I watched Gretzky, I watched Lemieux. Maybe it's the time when you're playing, but for a kid coming into the league, you play the Boston Bruins and you just watched Bobby Orr.
