Do not be envious of the success of these brands. Resolve instead to make your brand as easily remembered as they are.
Your brand should reflect your personality and your outlook on life. You must believe in the image you are promoting for your brand. That image must connect with the buying public. Once you have established your trade name and it has become well-known and permanently linked with your brand, then you will have succeeded. Consider Virgin and how closely it is associated with its founder Sir Richard Branson. He stamped his personality and beliefs on the company right at the start and has maintained that influence up to the present day.
When a company has established itself and its values are well-known, it will appeal to customers who have the same values. They will form a loyal base for the brand. Companies should make sure that they reward that loyalty by not deviating from their original values. Customers can be fickle and do not appreciate being taken for granted. Customers will share in the founder’s passion for their business and enjoy the sense of being part of an exciting, innovative venture.
Building a profitable personal brand online is not a sprint, and something that happens over night. Don’t aim for perfection early on. Instead allow your brand to evolve naturally over time and focus on providing massive value and over deliver to your target audience. Then you will get more clear over your message and brand as well.
