Son of Heavn and Earth, Attend that thou art happy, owe to God That thou continuest such, owe to thyself, That is, to thy obedience therein stand.
Be strong, live happy, and love, but first of all Him whom to love is to obey
The sum of earthly bliss.
This is the month, and this the happy morn, Wherein the Son of Heavens eternal King, Of wedded maid, and virgin mother born, Our great redemption from above did bring For so the holy sages once did sing, That He our deadly forfeit should release, And with His Father work us a perpetual peace.
Virtue may be assailed, but never hurt, Surprised by unjust force, but not enthralled Yea, even that which mischief meant most harm Shall in the happy trial prove most glory.
Let it suffice thee that thou knowest

'Here, happy creature, fair angelick Eve!
Of good and evil much they argued then,
Of happiness and final misery,
Passion and apathy, and glory and shame:
Vain wisdom all, and false philosophy!
Confirmed then I resolve,
Adam shall share with me in bliss or woe:
So dear I love him, that with him all deaths
I could endure, without him live no life.
Such sober certainty of waking bliss.
Mutual love, the crown of all our bliss.
These two imparadised in one another's arms, the happier Eden, shall enjoy their fill of bliss on bliss.
