Sebastien Bourdais Quotes (23 Quotes)

It's easy to dominate when you have a better car than the others but everybody now has pretty decent stuff -- you can win races but you are not going to make anyone look stupid.

It was a crazy race. It was extremely hard on your mind because you knew every second was a survival mode. You are inches from each other. Sometimes I couldn't even have put a finger in between our wheels.

The result last year in Las Vegas was definitely a big team effort, ... The engineering office definitely spent a lot of time thinking about what was going to be the best option especially for the race setup because it was pretty easy flat and everybody was able to make it easy around the place. It was about having the proper amount of downforce and being able to go through traffic with your foot on the floor and that's what we achieved and we had a really spectacular 1-2 with very exciting finish of the race. But I'm not too excited to try and do that again it's just really nerve racking. We'll see what happens but it was quite a race and hopefully it's going to be easier this year but I'm not quite sure about that really.

I think the talk began probably because we haven't scored as many poles as we did last year and we haven't been as dominant this year, but the truth is that the other teams have stepped it up,

It was not perfect. I made a mistake on every single lap and I brushed the wall on the first (fast) lap. I was probably a little too eager to go fast too early. I touched the curb in the chicane and that pushed the car wide. That was too close.

I was a little bit afraid that it was going to be a tough race, but somehow I was able to stay in the tow of Tracy. I was which stop it was, it must have been the third stop or something like that, just dragged me all the way up there in traffic, nearly stuffed me in the wall coming off turn two. Then I went to the left. Then he dragged me all the way to the left going to the white line. But he stayed there. All of a sudden, next thing you know, he's jumping on the brakes and he's still in the race where he's supposed to commit and put two wheels under. I was so surprised I didn't even have time to brake before we made contact. I was right in his gearbox. It's a miracle we made it through. Quite a bumpy ride for the McDonald's car. All in all, a very good result for the team. They got the reward for their hard work.

I think you're going to have to be smart and use it at the right time because everybody is going to go by you, ... It's going to be a matter of when to use it and how to use it.JThe car is really stuck on the track with the aerodynamic package we run there. There is a bit too much downforce to slow the cars down.

I guess it's going to take a little bit of everybody to try and overcome all this bad weather, ... It's just apparently the beginning because I'm pretty sure it's going to be a tough again this Rita hurricane. I'm living by the water, enjoying it. If anything bad happens to me, I'd be pretty happy if people are not leaving us behind. It's just normal, I think, try and help a little.

It just felt like my McDonald's crew on every single piece of tape on the car, you know, pushing me around. It's pretty much a good summary to what happened today. I think it's all to their credit what kind of performance we get in this qualifying. Kind of taking myself out of the picture really because in qualifying, just really put the foot down and it's all about the team effort. Obviously they proved to be extremely good at that. So during the race it's a bit different story, and you have to have a good ending in traffic. Hopefully we'll be able to achieve that again as well as we did last year. It should be a good race. It was really spectacular last year.

When I saw P.T. hit the wall, I was very surprised because he makes few mistakes. That's not the kind of mistakes he makes when he performs like that. It just emphasizes the point that it's really difficult to have a clear race here. I'm just glad he did.

It wasn't the most exciting race ever. It was a perfect weekend, no drama. I couldn't stop myself from thinking 'What's going to go wrong' It's been a smooth weekend all the way through.

We didn't really chase lap times but the car was consistent and I'm very confident that we will have a good starting point when we come back in June. We got a lot done and I think we accomplished most of what we wanted to do.

I'm not closing the door on it. I have a good time in the stock cars. Maybe somebody will give me a chance to test it and see if I'm good.

I really didn't have a whole lot of grip and the tires went away pretty quickly so I tried a few different things. I had a lot of push and couldn't get in the throttle as quickly as I wanted to, but we kept looking for a way to make up ground.

All the sudden, he was jumping on the brakes. I was so surprised I didn't have time to stop. He was in the wrong and he can say whatever he wants. He did not play by the rules and he could have paid a very, very high price for it. It could have been a very big two-car crash.

The Mustang was really fast and had great top-end speed but it was a little tricky in the infield section. We could run guys down on the oval section and but some of the smaller cars had a little easier time in the infield. It made for a lot of great battles and a day full of action for us.

I made very, very small mistakes, but not enough to open the door for anybody. At the end, we pulled away. That was very nice.

It was a huge performance, the best drive I think I have ever done. Everybody said that it was impossible to pass in Denver and we made it happen. Hopefully, we won't have to do it this year.

It was a little frustrating. Every time a yellow would come out, I'd say, 'Well, OK, do it again.

But nothing happened. The team told me, 'Don't worry,' so I didn't.

When I saw PT in the wall, I was very surprised because PT makes very few mistakes and that's not the kind of mistake he makes when he's up front like that. I am just glad we did it. Second year in a row it was very important for us for Centrix and PacifiCare, for everybody.
