Schools didn't produce the problem, and schools can't control it.
These young men see they are being shut out, locked out that their destinies are headed to disaster. They want help. They're asking for help. The community needs a comprehensive strategy to ensure those students who are not being educated can become educated.
My hope is that Quincy is going to become a model that is replicable throughout the country in terms of bringing together the different partners to ensure that all children are properly educated.
