Suppose Christianity is not a religion but a way of life, a falling in love with God, and, through Him, a falling in love with our fellows. Of course, such a way is hard and costly, but it is also joyous and rewarding even in the here-and-now. People who follow that Way know beyond all possible argument that they are in harmony with the purpose of God, that Christ is with them and in them as they set about His work in our disordered world. If anyone thinks this is perilous and revolutionary teaching, so much the better. That is exactly what they thought of the teaching of Jesus Christ. The light He brought to bear upon human affairs is almost unbearably brilliant but it is the light of Truth, and in that light human problems can be solved.
But I want first of all in fact as an end to these other desires to be at peace with myself. I want a singleness of eye, a purity of intention, a central core to my life that will enable me to carry out these obligations and activities as well as I can. I want in factto borrow from the language of the saints to live 'in grace' as much of the time as possible. I am not using this term in a strictly theological sense. By grace I mean an inner harmony, essentially spiritual, which can be translated into outward harmony.

The spirit, if it could be seen with mortal eyes, would appear in bodily shape like a full-grown person with individual endowments that make it a counter-part of the body in which it resides, 'that which is temporal in the likeness of that which is spiritual.' (DC 772.) It was that which came from God and entered at birth into the infant body prepared by its mortal parents. The spirit was of the 'Lord from heaven.' The physical body was 'of the earth, earthy,' (2 Cor. 1547) or in other words, composed of the elements of which the things in the physical world are composed.

In a society where equal protection under the law is supposed to be the noble standard, there is no room to create different classes of victims. Hate-crime legislation places a different, government-assigned value on the life, liberty, and property rights of people based on their color, religion, sexual orientation, national origin, physical ability, or whatever. . . It is not the role of the federal government to . . . protect me from hate.

Religious faith is a powerful force for good, and it ought to result in people coming together and showing concern for each other. It should not be used as a way to justify a political position, or to be identified with a particular political party. The teachings of Jesus should cause us to be concerned about the sick and poor. That's the type of effect religion should have on public policy.

Does not a great number a feelings determine a common feeling formed by the parts that compose it Once Truth can no longer be known, but felt, doesnt that feeling become truer than a small part of it that is felt only by one individual The religious factor will always have its own status even if, by referencing it to another religious factor of national or worldwide level, it can be underlined a mere influence compared to the latter and not a religion itself. I could name the example of certain groups that become profoundly religious without creating new religions, but by becoming sects of one religion or another. Such examples are numerous. To conclude, any group whose members unite their own individual divinities under the auspices of a social divinity form a religion, even if in reference to other worldwide religions, it is deemed a mere influence, it is still called religion. .This is why, no matter how much man wants to get rid of religion, he will not be able to do so until he renounces for good its own social life, by denying his past, which is deemed impossible.
