    Recently a large group of problem children were given the assignment of writing essays on the difficulties they had with their parents. The papers they turned in were misspelled but lively, listing a number of rather predicable faults gushing, nagging.

    What I want to emphasize is that this is a victim of a homicide. This is a woman with children, with family members, who was sitting in a car and had a gun put to her head and her brains blown out.

    When other children may have given up because of obstacles placed before them, these children did not. These students have overcome some obstacle, whether learning issues or personal issues at home.
