    Adam simply knows how to score. It was obvious as the season went on last year that his presence was felt more and more.

    First, it's not my doing. And second, it does come up. I'm professional in my actions. I can show that I've been in this place for 17 years this is my seventh year as head coach. I enjoy where I am, and we have a great thing going where we are.

    When it all shakes out and these teams play on, it's going to be the toughest non-conference schedule in the country.

    The people of Spokane, like they always do, again stepped forward to support a very worthy cause. This event continues to grow and everyone involved is grateful for the support from the Spokane community. We have a great committee that takes a lot of pride in this event.

    That's J. P. all year. He doesn't draw a lot of attention to himself, but he's been amazingly consistent all year. At the end of the night, pick up the stats, and he's got a double-double.

    At the half, I told Adam (Morrison) to start shooting. We needed to get a break going, we were too slow and made some adjustments to the zone and one in man-to-man. Besides Adam's scoring, going 10-plus on the boards was a determining factor.

    Adam is like Jesse James. Everybody's out to get him.

    I thought we had stretches in both halves where we kind of put together some good minutes on both the offensive and defensive ends.

    Adam is really getting roughed up now, especially off the ball. It's getting much more difficult, which makes it so amazing.

    In part, we were so agitated it served as a great motivator, and we played with a chip on our shoulder.

    We hate to lose Adam, but we wish him well. He leaves as the most decorated player in Gonzaga history. He's been an integral force behind what we've been able to keep going the past three years.

    The business has changed and the landscape has changed since those legendary days. There are a lot more really, really good teams and a lot more getting into the NCAA tournament now.

    All year, everybody's been talking about this being Adam's show, but we've got some other players who can really make plays.

    He's a heck of a defender. He's a guy who takes a lot of pride in that. He's a guy who has a lot of power, he's strong, he's athletic and he's long. It's a team game, and you have to take what they give you. Adam does a pretty good job of taking what others give him.

    All year people been talking like it's all the Adam Morrison Show, but we've got some other players who can really make plays and they all did tonight.

    You saw two good teams going at it tonight on the floor. Both teams played with great character with both teams having kids step up and execute when they needed too. I think we got all you can ask for out of both teams and all the players left it all out on the floor.

    The unsung guy is Batista. He keeps delivering and delivering and delivering every night out.

    It's something we really, really would love to do because we just want to keep playing.

    Our guys will see them plenty by the time they get to Salt Lake. Our guys will be well-prepared.
