    I needed to shoot a good score today, and I did, ... I played well, got a great break on one hole. I snap-hooked a drive on the par- five seventh into the hazard. It was dead left. It hit a tree and popped out to the front edge of the fairway about 100 yards off the tee. I laid up with a three-iron and hit a sand-wedge about three feet and made a four. It should have been a six or who knows what.

    It surprised me, I started laughing, ... Thomas Bjorn thought that was kind of funny. I was looking down the fairway and just kind of tinged the ball with the toe of my club. I did that one time at the Bob Hope Classic and hit it 60 yards. Almost killed about six old people on the right at Bermuda Dunes.

    I didn't even think about making that one. I haven't made any all weekend, why make that one Thank God I could two-putt.

    That's a good sign, ... The last time I was too relaxed was when I was like 9-over through 15 and I don't give a crap.

    I've hit a lot of putts the last two days. When it works, it sure feels good. If the claw doesn't work for me, I'll have to find another job.

    Even dating back to the late 80s when I was making everything I looked at, I still missed a lot of short putts, because I cannot stay still over them,

    I made no birdies and I'm in a state of shock over that. The good thing about making no birdies is it can't possibly happen two days in a row. Maybe I'll bust out with six or seven tomorrow and that will be the story.

    I could hit 100 bunker shots and not hit that one that close again, ... I jumped out of there, saw that it was a foot from the hole and playing partner Craig Barlow was clapping and I don't know how I did that. I walk around the corner and Jesper looks at me and says, 'How the hell did you do that' It was unbelievable. I mean, I could go out there 'til dark and not hit one that close again. It was huge and just part of a whole week of good things, good saves that I made.

    The first three holes, he couldn't find the course. But the last 15 holes, he didn't miss a shot. He's ready.

    I drove it phenomenal in the Pro-Am Wednesday. That gave me the enthusiasm coming into today's round because if you don't drive it well here, you're cooked. I think I hit 10 fairways today, but still drove it pretty good.

    I actually ... felt too relaxed. I hit an awful iron into the first hole, then another terrible iron into 2 and I thought for a minute I might be in trouble.

    I honestly never thought I'd win again let alone a tournament this big. I'm just unbelievably happy. I still can't believe it.
