John Leslie Quotes (11 Quotes)

I can't really go and study for three years, so I'll have to get as much on-the-job training as possible. They've given me lots of little tips that might take months to learn, such as how to project my voice.

I gave myself six out of 10 for my first performance. The first time I went on stage, it was so scary. I was experiencing a lot of emotion. There was no acting, I was just making sure I was up-to-speed with my lines. I'm still learning every day, but everyone learns from their mistakes, and this has lead to an even better production.

When everything becomes exploited-not for the information given but for the pure sake of advertising-then you think of these things in a very non-artistic way. You really have to keep up your nerve for the sake of the performance and other actors around you. There is a real camaraderie at the theatre which I enjoy as I have always been a team player.

This ordeal has been made all the more difficult because of how much it has upset my family, particularly my mother.

A lot of times with spontaneous sex, things happen... and you wipe the floor up with it. It has that kind of connotation. At least, that's the way my mind thinks of it.

When you act, you do have to use your own life experiences and bring them onto the stage, dragging those emotions out.

I like to entertain. This role was the opportunity to try something different and see if I was any good at acting. I really believe in trying new things and pushing myself.
