    It will cool down a bit Wednesday but still remain warmer than normal. By the weekend temperatures will fall to normal or maybe a few degrees below.

    For the last couple weeks we've had a block over western Canada which has kept warm winds from coming in off the Pacific. Cold weather has come down from the north and this has spilled into the U.S.

    Temperatures in the Northeast will be below normal for the next seven to eight days. The coldest days will be Thursday and Friday.

    It looks like the block is ending and warm air will soon spill into the northern Rockies and Plains. It will take longer for the warm weather to make it to the Midwest and Northeast. In about 10 days we may see above-normal temperatures throughout the Northeast.

    Things have changed dramatically since Saturday when there was some snow in the Boston area. The average high in Boston is 55 degrees at this time of year and we're projecting 68 to 70 degrees.

    Temperatures throughout Northwest Europe have dipped below normal. Temperatures in England, northern France and Germany will be 4 to 10 degrees below normal on Friday and through the weekend. The cold looks set to continue further out as well.
