    I love this school. I love the people, the professors and the landscape ... and I want every other student to love it as much as I do. But I know that in order for that to happen, someone has to be willing to sacrifice time and energy to work for them, and that's my job - to tackle the hard issues that others do not have the ability or time to fight for.

    We all know that tuition is an issue we all know that fees on campus are an issue. But if this is something that we can fix, and it is just a matter of rallying our professors behind it, then it is something that we talked about, ...     I encourage any student who has ever complained or been dissatisfied with this school to come out and run for one of these positions. The Student Government Association is here to better the lives of the students to this University, and I would like to see as many people try to be in this organization as possible.

    We understand that cost is going to be an issue with this, but we're just going to need to come to some type of compromise, ... This is too large of a University at this point to be closing as early as it is.


    This position can certainly help benefit ones' future, but you cannot want a position like this for the title or how good it will look. It is just too much time, too much sweat and tears to go into it for the wrong reasons. I can assure you, anyone with underlying motives will not make it in this position.

    When I was a freshman, I became great friends with the Student Body President at the time, Brian Bradley. We would often talk about what this university needed and how we could make it a better place. He inspired me to some day be in his position ... so I did.

    There are many ways to get your voice heard. I find the easiest way is to be in a position like this one - the kind that you can more easily reach out to the largest number of people, and I like that.

    I've heard that in the history of the Student Government Association, there's never been this big of a turnout,

    I want every student present to know how big their position is and how important it can be to the student body, ... We want to encourage the notion of debate. It is so important that these senators take stands on issues - don't just vote yes because everyone else did. They were elected to their positions because they are leaders, not because they will vote yes on everything.

    I would love to go for higher, but I think 15 percent will be a high enough jump that the student body will recognize it,

    Those running for the position will need to put an astronomical amount of time into the campaign process. It is no walk in the park to get elected into this position within the University. And once elected, have clear goals to accomplish for this University, and have sound, planned strategies to get there.
