James Lancaster Quotes (10 Quotes)

I thought it started with our rebounding. We were really dominating the boards in the first half. I think we out-rebounded them by 12 (actually 29-14) in the half. Plus we were getting the ball inside. I think we had 22 more shots than they did.

He (Lambert) did some good things for us. We expect good things out of Doug. We want him to be more consistent, we think he can do that every game out. We have seen flashes of that, or we wouldn't have had him out there.

We like to score and make a lot of players happy. I think it's a style of basketball that's attractive to athletes that want to get out and get it up and down the court. Most importantly, the guys just played hard out there and it was a total team effort. A lot of different guys contributed to the win, plus it keeps us undefeated in the conference.

I won't be doing much of anything for the next few days. Maybe by Friday I'll be back to work. But it's just basketball something like this helps put that in perspective.

We did what we had to do tonight we had to defend the home court. The pressure was on us. (Clarke coach) Jon (Davison) knew he had a step and a half up on the league if they come in and get that win tonight.

We missed a couple of quality shots. It shouldn't have come down to the last couple of possessions if we are playing Aurora University basketball along the whole way.

This milestone just means that I have been fortunate enough to work at a school that has a great academic reputation. That lets us attract some quality student athletes. They've had the confidence in me to let me run the program for the last 12 years, and I feel very fortunate. It also makes me think about the coach I played for here at AU, Don Holler. Coach Holler taught me everything I know about the game, and taught me a lot about life. He and his wife are very close to me.

It's given him a tremendous perspective on the court. He's all smiles, he loves the game and he really appreciates having the God-given ability to play the game.
