There is a staggering number of animals put down each year. We would like to see this prevented. We want to curb the overpopulation of unwanted animals and we do a good job in our county compared to the national figures.

We give out more certificates than are used. One of the reasons is that some people don't get around to making the appointment for their animal. The certificates are good until March 31, but that does not mean the coupons have to be used by then. The appointment just has to be made by that date.
