He's the best defensive player in the country.

Up five, I thought we were in good shape, but then we stopped making shots.

I don't think it's going to be all pretty and sweet like it has been the past three games. I've made my share of mistakes, but the thing that I want to do is get better.

If it happens for more years down the road, I guess it would be considered a rivalry. But they're a great team, and every time we play them, it's going down to the wire, to the last possession. It was intense it was heated. It was at the highest level.

J.J. is going to get the looks. Sure, he missed his first four 3-pointers, but we knew he'd come back and hit the shots. We expect him to hit them and we look for him all the time.

I think we will see a little bit more of that now. Some of the games we've struggled in, we've seen match-up zones. So teams are scouting us, noticing that. But I think the more we see, the better we'll get against it.

You've got to win, or else you're going home. That's the No. 1 objective, and we got it. It doesn't matter if it's pretty or ugly, as long as you're surviving. That's what we need to be doing.

Basketball has always been my first love. Second, I want to be the point guard at Duke. I don't want any obstacle to get in my way of that, even if that means giving up football.

I watched every college football game on Saturdays. That is one of my favorite things to do in the fall. You know, I missed it then but this is why I came here.

Boston College is a great team. They're going to be very dangerous in the NCAA Tournament and we knew that game was going to be physical because they're such an athletic team, really physical on the inside, and it's the kind of game back and fourth and we pulled it out in the end.

I let a couple of guys get by me, and then made a bad decision on offense. Coach isn't going to stand for that, and I don't want it either. He demands perfection, and I do, too. We were just talking about getting it together.

I wanted to make him put the ball on the floor.

It is very sad now. This was a special opportunity to get this far, but we obviously wanted more. The seniors were a special group both on and off the court. We will miss being around those seniors. We wanted to win for them. They helped the Duke tradition and made the school feel proud.

I actually thought they gave us the timeout. But I'll take J.J. at the line any time.

Defense is the foundation. It's what Duke's built on. It's taken us a little time to get on the same page, and tonight we were.

We want to get going here, win the next two games and get some momentum before ACC play. We're excited to get back to playing and showing everybody what we can do.

We needed to get angry. We weren't playing well the last two games, and at times we were lacking enthusiasm. But we knew the truth about us and that we would could come out and play good defense and win.

You always see these things in highlights-coming up, you know, 20 years ago this guy did this record. To be a part of it and to have him be such a good guy as well as teammate, it's something that he's really proud of and I know that we're really proud of him.

We've been there a couple of times this year, and we've had some success and we're pretty comfortable. It's not too far of a drive, and we feel pretty confident in that place with the set-up, the rims and the court, everything like that.
