Eddie Jordan Quotes on Games (7 Quotes)

We know we're short on pieces, ... We're trying to hold down the fort. Actually, this is beyond trying to hold down the fort because this is probably, really, who we've got. We're talented enough to win some games. As long as we have Gil and Larry and some bigs Brendan Haywood, Brown, Thomas, Michael Ruffin we have some hope.

Daniels has been real big for us, especially late in games. He's playing at a very high level. When he's out there, he can spread the floor, which is good for everybody. He enables us to get Gilbert Arenas off the point. He gives us a lot. He's really making it hard for me to take him off the court.

He wants to win - that is his No. 1 priority. He is a leader for this team in a different way. He is not loud, verbal or demonstrative, but he leads by gutting it out and fighting for rebounds. We kind of rode his coattails, ... He carried us. We went from a tie game to up 11 because he got going. Now, they hang on to him and say, 'Thanks Gil.' We should play with poise we've got veterans now with playoff experience. And that should help us in back-to-back games. We've got a good mix of scorers and defenders. And we've got a guy who can make everybody better. When that thing got real tight tonight, it was, 'Thanks Gil.'

The number that I like better is the percentage of games that we have won out of our last 20 games (11-9). If we thought that .500 was our ultimate goal, then there is nothing more to achieve. We really want to keep the momentum going.
