The state is paying Bostwick (Irrigation District) 2.5 million to purchase water. The governor is doing it so he can look good. A better use of 2.5 million would be putting it into engineering and infrastructure.

Our water is our prize, our treasure. We haven't been tough enough. Do you need a politician or a businessman who understands that every square mile of the state needs to be making money and be profitable
If we don't get our act together, we're going to see rural Nebraska see huge declines, because of the way we're managing water. We need to look at a transfer system for water. One of things I'm going to do is put a ton of money in the water transfer system. It will help the rural economy grow and prosper.
