I felt like the last couple of years I've been able to play golf and not worry so much about hitting bad shots, because everybody is going to miss it in the wrong place some time or another.

    You've got to play a lot of different shots, keeping it down underneath the wind. A lot of times, the hardest part is putting in the wind, because that's a real big guessing game.

    It was a great group. They hit some good shots and we just had a good time. The fans were great. ... Everybody knows what's going on, so they are quiet whenever I'm hitting and then whenever the others are hitting or entertaining (the fans), it can get loud at times.


    It's going to be tough walking around that many times, but when you're in contention, you don't really think about that. We don't have to run. That might be a different story. But mentally, it's tough.

    Maybe I feel like my game's improved and I feel like I can play this course and compete on this course. I've learned where to hit it, where not to hit it, to some extent. Just try to keep it out of those spots.


    Campbell, likewise, was in the dark but was well aware he had to answer with something tight to have a chance. I knew I had to hit a good shot, ... I didn't know how close he was. I didn't know it was an inch. That was a great shot. His shot was phenomenal.

    It was a little chilly out there. I didn't play well, but it could have been worse. It's playing pretty long. The balls weren't going very far.

    It was a disappointing day. I really played terrible. I never put any pressure on Toms to make him do anything, but he played solid...65 in the final round, that's pretty good golf.

    I was always a Nicklaus fan, so being able to watch him make that charge on the back nine was pretty awesome.

    It's nice to come back after the way things worked out last Sunday, to come out today and get the job done.

    It's very important, especially out here at Bermuda Dunes. You have a lot of chances to make birdies, but you have to take advantage of the par-5s and I was able to do that today.

    They don't want to talk much about their careers probably, and I don't want to talk a whole bunch about golf. We just kind of meet in the middle somewhere.

    He's such a good putter, he can make a lot of long putts.
