Brady Quinn Quotes (38 Quotes)

We're starting to form together. But at the same time, we looked kind of rusty, plus it's kind of hard to tell without pads on, to be honest.

I'd be lying if I said I didn't think about it. But at the same time, we don't try to focus on that. Really, when it comes down to it, that's not even an option if we don't win this week. So really, all we're thinking about is Stanford right now.

I think I'd be lying if I said it wasn't frustrating, ... There were times in certain situations where I realized that someone was going to have to make a play outside of themselves in order to make this work.

Two years ago at Michigan the crowd noise was pretty heavy there, obviously, with 110,000 that had to play a big factor. It was one of those situations where I think our team had to resort to silent counts. We adjusted pretty well with it at Tennessee last year, but not so well at Michigan two years ago.

We don't focus on (individual accolades). Everyone on our team looks at the success of our team as the most important factor.

Coach Vaas and Coach Weis are on the same page in what they desire from their quarterbacks. The always try to get the most out of you. Coach Vaas is on us a lot of time no matter what. Even if the throw appears perfect, maybe there is something fundamentally we didn't do well. He is extremely hard on us and he is always making sure we strive for perfection in everything we do.

I wasn't thinking anything about revenge coming into this game. What enabled us to win was the execution of our game plan.

He just wished me luck against everyone else but Michigan, obviously,

He puts that pressure on us all the time.

There is no question that Coach Weis sets the bar high. But he has been very sensitive to the pace at which he's been introducing his offense to us. He wants us to learn, for sure. But more importantly, he wants us to be able to execute. That will be the real test for us this season.

I don't think he's worn all of them at the same time.

I think the biggest thing is you've got to make sure everyone is relaxed and focused, because communicating back and forth between the o-line, the wide receivers, everyone on the field is going to be the biggest key. Obviously, there's a lot that can happen when the noise level goes up. Guys start losing their focus and let other things become a focus, so that's going to be the biggest factor - making sure guys are relaxed and focused.

Coach Weis' scheme sets us up in favorable positions all the time. The biggest thing is the way he's taught us as far as where to go with the ball in every single situation. You've always got outlets, you've always got places to go, and that makes you feel comfortable when you're a quarterback under center.

I'm happy with what happened out there. It's always good to finally get out there and seeing what it's like actually being in front of everyone and actually running (Weis' offense) the first time when it actually means something.

He has helped me through a ton of highs and lows. Just having him there, and with us being so close and being able to share the whole college experience, has helped.

He's so brutally honest at times that it can catch you off guard. The best thing about his honesty is that it's fair. He doesn't play favorites. He's even more intense now than he was in the spring, and I'm sure that he will become even more so when we start playing the season.

He's a big, athletic player. He has great hands, ... He's a smart player, so he knows how to read defenses and find soft spots. He's the type of player that's able to make plays whenever we need them.

It was more a feeling of hunger than anything else.

I've always been confident in myself and my abilities. At this stage of my career, having coach Weis and having as much talent as I have around me, I may be one of the cockiest guys in the nation.

Obviously statistics will be kept and you want to get closer to perfect. But when it comes down to it, a quarterback is graded upon winning, and that's the area I'm looking to improve the most.

He's in Hollywood, that's where all the big entertainment is, so obviously that's going to be part of his college experience and everything he goes through. Obviously being in South Bend, it's not a hot spot for celebrities, so a lot of the focus when it comes to me is more or less football.

A lot of his plays are cool to watch just because of his effort.

A lot of people, commentators, you'd hear them say this or that about whether or not we were worthy of a BCS bid. But obviously things worked out. ... We're where we should be.

Physically there is a difference. He dropped a significant amount of weight, some where between 10 and 15 pounds. The biggest thing, he has a lot of stamina and can run deep routes down the field all day at top speed. He is not getting tired. He has become a huge player not only down the field, but as a possession receiver. You have seen him do some great things after catching short passes.

Like hes been saying all week, were here for a business trip. We want to win this game, so the biggest thing is we need to put emphasis on the fact that were prepared and rested and taking on things the way we would be if we were playing in South Bend right now.

The first two years were rough, and this year's better. But we still are working to win a national championship. Hopefully that's somewhere in the future.

I'm a big believer in my faith and I actually believe God helped me make the decision to come to Notre Dame for a reason. I feel the same way about Him giving me the feeling it's in my best interest to come back for another year and it's in my best interest to finish up school and be ready for the real world when football ends.

The reaction of the fans being on the field and then seeing how you kind of want it to come out, then seeing the exact opposite all in a matter of minutes. People were pretty shocked and devastated.

He showed up today and had a great game.

It was a situation where we needed to come out with a score. I hadn't been all that productive the entire game. There was a point in time where I needed to step up and do some things.

Not that anyone wanted to settle for mediocrity, but I think there were times when guys didn't realize how far they could push themselves. That's something Coach Weis said right when he got here, that he was going to take us to a certain level and push us even farther.

When you look at the situation, I'm a big believer in my faith. And I actually believe God helped me make the decision to come to Notre Dame, and I feel the same way about Him giving me a feeling that it's in my best interests to come back for another year and it's in my best interests to finish out school and be prepared for the real world whenever football ends.

We feel as if we are by far the best team in the tournament. Last year the tournament was tainted, and this year we are going for blood.

We didn't necessarily have the best day today. Looking back, it was an ugly game two years ago.

The Heisman hype is obviously flattering, but at the same point in time, it's something that's handled after the season, so it doesn't really matter. If everything goes well for us, good things will come.

Notre Dame defeated back-to-back ranked teams (No. 23 Pittsburgh, No. 3 Michigan) on the road for the first time since 2002, when Tyrone Willingham's squad defeated No. 18 Air Force and No. 11 Florida State. I don't know what type of message it sends, ... other than it says we're 2-0 and we're looking to be 1-0 against Michigan State next week.

It all comes down to wins and losses, and today we couldn't pull it out in the end,

We still talk to this day. We had a real close relationship and used to hang out as friends and everything. It's fun seeing them before and after the game, seeing how they've progressed and developed in college.
