Everybody could use Billy Wagner, ... There's not one team that could not use a guy like Billy Wagner. He's the best there is in baseball. He dominates guys. He played in a hitter-friendly park and had an unbelievable year. I don't know who's going to be lucky enough to get him, but everybody needs him.

First of all, he throws a hundred ... Secondly, he's learned to spot his fastball. He's got a good slider, too, but in the last couple years, he's learned to paint the corners with his 100-mile-an-hour fastball. If you're doing that, guys don't have a chance. I know it's hard to control your fastball sometimes, but he's found a way to have consistent mechanics to be able to paint the corners with his fastball. That's why he's dominating so much right now.

(Catcher) Brad (Ausmus) did a great job of timing that one. He was set up for a high fastball to make it look like I was going to throw a high fastball, so maybe the runner was looking at Brad instead of me.

Some people will say it doesn't matter, but I think it was a pretty important win just because of losing those four in the playoffs and going 0-6 here this year, ... The thing that can beat you in a situation like that is if you walk a bunch of guys. That's the last thing I wanted to do. Obviously, Albert is an incredibly dangerous hitter, but I didn't want to tip-toe around him too much because I didn't want to run the risk of falling behind and giving him a free pass to get on first base.

One of the things you have to do to be a successful closer is bounce back, ... So far, in the year and a half I've pitched, I feel I've been able to do a good job of that.

That's an honor, to be mentioned in the same sentence as him. He's one of those guy who I look to as the best ever at what he does,

If I was more concerned, it would be a bad problem. Tonight, I'll be upset with myself. Tomorrow, I'll come back out and feel the same as I would if I had eight (saves) in a row.

That's baseball. But we are going to be all right. This team is resilient.

When I got to the big leagues, I had been a starter my entire career, ... I had never pitched out of the bullpen. I feel really fortunate and blessed that I had him to learn from. He taught me everything I know to do for a routine, how he physically and mentally prepared for a game, the way he warmed up. I didn't have any idea what to do.

I'm not sure right now if the fans and public know how exciting it's going to be -- at least here in the U.S.. I know in a lot of other countries, people back home are getting extremely excited about this. It's going to be an amazing event. When you've got all the premier players in the game playing, there's really nothing better.

He hit a slider up in the zone. I knew it was gone. I wish I had the pitch back was the immediate feeling. It's tough. This will sting. I'm a closer. Tomorrow, I'll have to put it behind me. I've blown saves before.

I think they're professionals and they're going up there and looking for something and trying to hit it. I don't think they're thinking too much about the history of us, but if they are and it can work to my advantage, that's great.

I definitely needed to pitch last night and I need to be as sharp as possible, but the bottom line is we need to win games right now. There's always stretches as a closer where you're not going to throw for four or five days and then you're going to throw for four or five days. That's the way it is. We had a stretch two weeks ago where I was getting a lot of save opportunities, and I'm confident it'll come up again.

Their lineup is still dangerous, ... They've got a variety of guys that can beat you with the long ball. (Shortstop) David Eckstein is a big change because he's an incredibly tough out.
