We all feel a lot of sympathy for New York. Even having said that, I'm confident USOC will follow a process that started 2-12 years ago. They want to pick the best city that has the best plans for the best Olympic games.
We have very strict rules about what we can and can't do in terms of the USOC. What we can't do right now is lobby, ... The odds are that if the rules had not been changed, all the cities would be talking to the IOC to get it to influence the USOC.
The USOC is dedicated to see to it that women's softball does not miss its turn in 2012. We're hopeful and, in a humble way, hope to try and influence people to reconsider a decision that was a bad decision to eliminate a women's sport.
