    We all feel a lot of sympathy for New York. Even having said that, I'm confident USOC will follow a process that started 2-12 years ago. They want to pick the best city that has the best plans for the best Olympic games.

    We have very strict rules about what we can and can't do in terms of the USOC. What we can't do right now is lobby, ... The odds are that if the rules had not been changed, all the cities would be talking to the IOC to get it to influence the USOC.

    I would be inclined to say 'if you are not willing to cooperate and follow the rules of your international federation you are not the right track and field association to be part of the USOC'.




    I found the whole thing pretty offensive They the USOC were cautioning us to take the path of least resistance and to abandon our plans of using the Net as a device to communicate with family, friends and sponsors.
