I believe in the compelling power of love. I do not understand it. I believe it to be the most fragrant blossom of all this thorny existence.

It is a thorny undertaking, and more so than it seems, to follow a movement so wandering as that of our mind, to penetrate the opaque depths of its innermost folds, to pick out and immobilize the innumerable flutterings that agitate it.
Where faith is there is courage, there is fortitude, there is steadfastness and strength.... Faith bestows that sublime courage that rises superior to the troubles and disappointments of life, that acknowledges no defeat except as a step to victory that is strong to endure, patient to wait, and energetic to struggle.... Light up, then, the lamp of faith in your heart....
