Quotes about tejada (13 Quotes)

He took it hard not hitting and not playing and then being demoted. The guy that got him here Tejada is having a hell of a year, he's having fun and everybody loves him. All of a sudden, Sosa is second fiddle, and he's not used to that.

The only thing was the slider I threw to Tejada -- garbage. I left it over the middle of the plate, and he blasted it. If I located that slider where it's supposed to be, it's a fly ball to right.

Tejada has only been here two years, so I don't know what he's talking about. We're not spending 50 million on a closer who's been a closer for only one year and 55 million for a guy who hasn't won more than 12 games in a year. If that's what his criticism is based on, it just shows he wouldn't be a great general manager.

Before the game yesterday, I talked to Miguel Tejada. I explained to him what was going on. He said, 'You have to take care of your family first.' I want to be there, but I have to take care of business here.

Tejada said he talked less lately because of the losing. I've been quiet the last couple of days so I could give the guys a rest, ... I've been real loud throughout the season but the club has been losing. Today I said I was back.

The good thing is that in every game we had a different hero, so different people contributed to those different wins. I hope that Alfonso Soriano and Miguel Tejada wake up for the next round and they contribute more.

I know he's a little frustrated, but I can't imagine starting the season without Miguel Tejada. He's going to be very hard to replace. He's a team leader, a good player. I'm pretty sure he's going to be back. Once spring training starts, I'm sure he'll be OK.

I want to play with shortstop Miguel Tejada for the next four years, ... I'd like to stay in Baltimore, but I know this is a business, too. There are lots of teams that would be interested. But I'm going to give the first chance to Baltimore.
