Quotes about quarterfinal (13 Quotes)

I felt like a lot of it had to do with me, ... I just felt like I was making errors on balls I didn't need to make errors on. I was never really in control of points...(I'm) just annoyed. You obviously want to play a little bit better than what I played in a quarterfinal match.

I'd say those guys up north 280 miles off the lake are probably the favorite. They played for the title a year ago, and people forget that we have not won our quarterfinal game very often, so we have to make sure we get that done.

I don't have to worry. I only graduated one from last year's team and that quarterfinal game they remember that game. They're an excellent team and I can't think of a team that can beat them but they are beatable and this is a very good measuring stick for us.

We had a good day today. We had a bad quarterfinal round (Friday night). We dropped a lot of close matches we should have won, but to have 10 guys in the wrestle backs for two straight days, that really is a tribute to their character.

We wanted to press here. We saw how Trinity struggled against Bottineau's press (in a quarterfinal loss Thursday). And at times it was working for us. But there also were times when they were beating us. I think we were tired (after a late 60-59 quarterfinal loss to Kindred on Thursday).

It's absolutely incredible. If you go back two or three years, those first-round games look a like a Sweet 16 group. I looked at the bracket Sunday and that's when it finally hit me how strong this league was this season. The teams that are playing just to get to the quarterfinal round ... it's unbelievable.

I had a chance to see them a couple of weeks ago. They have two outstanding guards and a really nice post player. They're just a sound team, which is typical of the James River District. It should make for a great regional quarterfinal.

I just tried to play it like a regular game and play my game. Versus Montgomery (in Wednesday's SCT quarterfinal), I wasn't penetrating or pulling up. I was more timid. This game, I wanted to go after them.

It happened during my quarterfinal match, about the middle of the second set, ... I was so into the match I didn't really feel it, but I must say it got worse and the pain was aggravating. I was lucky to win the second set and the tiebreaker, because if we'd gone to a third set I probably wouldn't have had enough to finish off the match.
