The Nordic countries tried with four, but that was too much. Next time they will have three.

Adding Nordic skiing to our roster of sports is just one more way we are increasing the opportunities for Northland College students, as well as attracting new students. We've found the students who come to Northland thrive on outdoor sports, like skiing. Our location is a prime for skiers and we are really pleased to offer this competitive opportunity.
Right now, we need to tear off the rear-view mirror and look forward to our final two events. The nice thing about Nordic is there's a lot of emotion in the race. We can still dig deep and rise above tonight's events to put together a strong performance for the win.
The men's Nordic team had a strong showing today with a pair of top-10s. We are still a good bit behind Denver but the slalom is our strongest event and that is tomorrow. We're all separate -- cross-country, biathlon, Nordic combined and ski jumping.
It's more of a direct competition and direct threat. While we have to learn how to compete for medals in those sports where we don't normally contend, such as the Nordic areas, we certainly have to take very seriously those threats to our current medals.
It wasn't a very good day for us. However, we are not out of it yet. The slalom is our strongest event and hopefully the Nordic group can ski well tomorrow. I look for Denver and Colorado to make a move and hopefully we can stay with them.
We were playing soccer so we thought it would be a good idea in the winter to get in shape through Nordic skiing. And it really stuck with us.
We lost the momentum be----fore we started. I think the momentum started shifting Thursday after the Nordic races. They got us out of a hole. Friday night, we improved our standings slightly. It was great to see the effort. All four days, we went through some anger, anxiety and joy at the end of it.
We are working as hard as we can to make people aware. If we put a jump in Bozeman it would make a great Nordic facility.
