At these showcase tournaments, there might be 200 colleges in attendance. And it's not just for the star players. There are coaches from NAIA to Division I.

They're a very good NAIA team. All the Southern California teams are good that's just how it is.
He took our program to the highest levels of NAIA baseball and then established it among the elite of NCAA Division II in the west region.
I think we're the best pressing basketball team in the NAIA. We get our points on offense by creating turnovers on defense and creating easy baskets.
Give Jamestown a lot of credit. They are well-coached and they shoot the ball very well. That is one thing about NAIA teams they may be a little smaller, but they generally shoot the ball well. Jamestown played hard until the end and they never quit. They have a good, young team.
We shot very well, but turned the ball over too much and gave up a ton of offensive rebounds. Now we're kind of at the mercy of the (NAIA) selection committee. Hopefully we can sneak in.
The NAIA is extremely proud of Brandon and happy to award him the Dr. LeRoy Walker Champions of Character Award. Brandon is a great success story in and out of sports and a great role model for youth and representative for the NAIA.
Guys like me don't get jobs like this. I was a guy that coached NAIA basketball and was a grad assistant at Michigan State under Jud Heathcote and then coached at Washington State before Oklahoma and now Indiana. I've had kind of a nondescript college career.
Realistically, we thought of this as a game that we should be able to come in and win. With the experience that we have back and with what this team was able to accomplish a year ago (when IUS qualified for the NAIA National Tournament), we had high hopes coming into the year.
Our first couple of years we were really, really strong. We could have competed on the NCAA Division III level and even the Division II level. The past few years we've gone down a bit, even though by club standards we still had really good teams. But when we tried to sep up against some of the NCAA II, III and NAIA teams, we did not fare as well.
But the NAIA will have the final decision on whether that goes through. And I don't think they'll let it take effect.
I've always wanted to be here. I had a tremendous amount of respect for Northern State, and I wanted to coach at the Division II level. I have nothing against the NAIA, I just want to be a Division II coach. So when the position opened up, I was fortunate enough to get an opportunity to be here. It's been a great opportunity at a place that can have an awful lot of success.
The people who were here tonight now have an idea of the talent you see at the NAIA National Tournament. This team is every bit as talented as what you see at the nationals. In fact, if this had been 20 years ago when the NAIA had 600 teams, this team could have won it.
We're excited about the opportunities .... The local community has shown great interest in supporting NAIA student-athletes and the Champions of Character program so we are thrilled to showcase some of the top NAIA golfers in the country at a wonderful host facility.
Illinois, Duke, that's a big difference. When you start getting down into the lower levels of Division I, there are a heck of a lot of (NCAA) Division II teams and NAIA teams that are absolutely as good. Not just this year. For a long time.
