    Just about everyone we recruited had a BCS school (scholarship) offer. That was our competition this year. Other than in-state competition with BYU, we had very little competition with Mountain West schools. It was all BCS schools, which is a good thing.

    Unfortunately, it is unclear whether federal law would allow us to offer in-state rates to undocumented aliens. It would be unwise for us to move forward on this bill until the lawsuit against a similar bill in California is settled.

Ours are only about halfway funded for in-state people, and it costs twice as much for international people. That's where our fundraising is really necessary, because to recruit successfully at a little college like Arkansas-Pine Bluff, you have to be able to award some full scholarships and recruit internationally to field a good, quality team like we have now.

    Illegal immigration affects state budget, it affects our public safety in Virginia that's why it's a big issue in this campaign. I'm the only candidate that will say no benefits for those illegally in this country, no in-state tuition.
