Elektra is larger than life and wears her sexuality on her sleeve. So I was wearing clothes that were 100 per cent sexy. And just giving in to that.
You want to have somebody like Elektra on your side, and it's one of the characters who is helping storytelling in the story also.
I'm really happy with Elektra, I don't have anything bad to say about them at all. I always knew a major label was the right place for me to be. I never really had an opportunity to go to an independent label anyway.

In the case of Elektra I really wasn't sure I could pull it off. There were so many intellectual leaps. My character, Stick, is blind, but he can see better than most people. So I had trouble kind of finding the logic.
We had been working. We had a bunch of songs written and it came time to make the record, so we had our lawyer make the call to Elektra and ask for our advance. Then, we got dropped. It was actually exciting.
