Run to Jerusalem
to the eleven, the apostles
tell his disciples the good news
the Lord is risen, he walked with us
on the road home, revealed in the blessing,
the bread and wine, the savior risen
alive with us on the road
sharing all the scripture, the prophets
his story told to us proof by proof
our hearts burning within us
joy walked with us
his grace heaped upon us
on the road to Emmaus
