Ye Weavers of Blackburn, give ear to my song,
When I sing of tyrants I seldom do wrong,
For if they transport me to Canada’s wild shore
I then shall have freedom, when I have sailed o’er;
Free from slavery,
Fetters and knavery,
Never tormented with tyrants again!
