Our doubles play today was unacceptable. We did not come out this afternoon ready to play and it really showed. I will be looking for a much better start tomorrow afternoon against Michigan State. If we compete in doubles the way we are capable of competing, then results will show.

We're still struggling in doubles. Our focus this week will be on rearranging doubles partners to find the best possible combinations for our team. Bottom line though, was our singles play. We came in and got it done in singles and it resulted in a victory. I give credit to all of the singles players today. They played real hard.

I'm hoping that we will show more consistency. This past weekend, at times, we competed well, but just very inconsistently and part of that may be traveling on the road.

It was nice for our five freshmen to get their feet wet, and a couple of them made a pretty big splash. P.J. and Griffin did a very nice job of carrying over their fundamental skills to the competition court.

Illinois is one of the strongest teams in the nation and they have proven that for years now. We have a few injuries half of our lineup is injured right now.

I thought we fought really hard throughout the lineup. I was really impressed with how some of our guys were able to come back and gut out some wins.

This was a much needed win. Our theme this week was mental toughness. The difference today was that from start to finish, we were mentally tougher than Indiana. Yesterday against Penn State it wasn't there, but today it was and it was the reason we won.

I was really happy with most of what I saw in singles. We always emphasize that the focus needs to be on the process, and the outcomes will take care of themselves. That's exactly what happened today.
