    The shot I hit into seven, it was a nice little draw 8-iron that almost went in. I hit a cut 4-iron into eight that almost flew off the pin. I almost flew it in the hole on 10. I just knew I was dialed in pretty good.

    There wasn't even a zephyr of wind. It was unbelievable. I can't imagine it being any better out there.

    I was not great behind the counter. I had a week off without asking for it. Another time, we had a cart go up in flames, and we went out on another cart, which we wrecked by running it into the cart that was on fire.

    We're mainly trying to figure it out (based on who plays different) golf balls. I think it's important in that foursomes match, to get two players that complement each other. Maybe not two short hitters together, but sometimes you get two long hitters and that doesn't work out, as we've seen in Ryder Cups.

    I feel I should be in better shape for the way I'm playing. But I'm still in good shape for the weekend. It doesn't really start until tomorrow. As long as you're within eight shots, you're probably in contention.

    I don't think it was anything Stewart or David did, ... We just got off to a hot start and from there, we didn't make any mistakes. So it was hard for those guys to get back in the match, because we were playing really well.

    There was a guy standing near the green with a red sweater, and I said I was going to hit at that guy with a little draw. I was telling some of the guys over there that there was a glare from the sun, and I couldn't see it. You could just hear it. I didn't know if it hit the pin or went long or what. And then, obviously, the crowd let me know what was going on.

    This golf course, you miss a shot a little bit off-line, it's going to bite you.

    From the time you're a junior, adults keep telling you about patience and hard work and using your head, but until you've been knocked down a few times and have to get back on your feet all by yourself, you probably haven't learned the lessons.

    The (Bob Hope Chrysler Classic) I played well and I felt like I had a chance to win there. The other two weeks Not so good. But I've been showing all the signs, all my practicing is going well and I've been very encouraged with a lot of things in my game this year so far.
