I have never been to Africa. It's always been a dream of mine. It's a great opportunity. I get to touch lives of people from my homeland and my blood.

It's a tough ordeal for coach, having been through what he been through last year, with his cancer situation. We know Coby real well. He's always here before the season, working out, playing with the guys, and he keeps in pretty good contact with a lot of the guys.

We haven't gotten out of the first round (the past two seasons) and you can't blame him. A team has to get the job done collectively. . . . I think (Anthony) is ready to step out. Hopefully, it will be in (these) playoffs. This will kind of be his coming-out party.

If he's qualified to win the coach of the month, I don't know why not coach of the year. He's been valuable to this team and you've seen the influence he's had on this team, so that has to count for something.

It's been awesome. He's been pretty much carrying the whole organization on his back. He's doing a terrific job. He's been coming early, staying late, working on his game and that goes to show you how much he's maturing.

It's great to see him alive. He could pretty much not be with us right now. I've been talking to him and seeing him every day, so it's good to finally see him up here.

I feel for Earl. I've been there. I know what he's going through right now. It's a big loss for us.

I get asked that question every two weeks when we play a good team. I can't pinpoint it. I think the level of competition raises up our level of play. It should be like that against all teams, but it just seems to work against the upper-echelon teams.

He developed a little into a players' coach. The guys really wanted to go and play for him. He just made our whole environment fun and loose, which is rare nowadays, where teams are so uptight and worrying about all the little things instead of worrying about basketball.

He's been probably our most consistent player all season. There's not a lot of rah-rah about his game. He just goes out there and goes about his business and he's solid every night.

I'm not going to say he's going to shut down Sam. I don't think too many people can do that. He's crafty. Still, Andre is a competitive guy. He knows what happened to him a couple of years ago in that series. He's going to have a better series this year.

If I was in that situation, I would rather (play the Nuggets) too, considering you would have the home- court advantage.

It's real tough. It's tough for players getting hammered every day, ripped in the media every day. I've been there, so I know.

I think I'm more disappointed for Carmelo, because he's averaging 26 points on a team that's in first place. He's been tearing up the league as of late.

I was able to spend like two hours at the hospital (with Hodge, who could be released from Swedish Medical Center as soon as today). I would never think that a guy that took as many bullets as he (did) would be in the (good) spirits he was. Hopefully, he'll make a fully recovery like they said he would.

I love playing in the Garden. This is the best arena in the world to play in. They have such loyal fans out there, and they gave me a great ovation when I came in. It's always good to see a lot of familiar faces. The ball boys, when I was here, were little kids. Now, they're grown up and married with children.

I don't see it happening unless every NBA player is given a stipend to buy clothes.

From the start of the game, we were acting like we won five in a row. We didn't come out with the intensity and attitude needed to win the game.

We've got seven games and seven winnable ballgames. I think we can go out there and win every ball game.

It was definitely fun to watch. Melo was spectacular.

It was definitely an honor (being asked to do it). He means a lot for the whole African-American race. He stood up for civil rights. . . . If it wasn't for him, none of us African-Americans in any sport or outside sports, doctors, lawyers, bus drivers or whatever it may be, (would have had) the opportunity.

I was trying to persuade the doctor that I could keep playing with it. He was like, 'No.' I would risk further injury to myself and neither one of us would have wanted that. It's a frustrating time (to miss). I'm just going to try to get back as quickly a

It's an opportunity for these guys to shine. I had to carry the load when all of those guys were out, and had to provide a lot of scoring and rebounding and defense for the frontcourt, so now it's their turn to step up and will this team to victory.

We've got a capable point guard running things. I wouldn't trade Andre (Miller) for anybody.

Ever since I've been here, this is one of the toughest places to play. The crowd is always on you. It's frustrating. We won (here) in preseason, but that doesn't count. Now we'll have to wait until next year to break the streak.

I don't worry about individual accolades. But, I guess when I look back on my career, it would be a great feat.

(Doctors) told me I'm way ahead of schedule. They didn't want to tell me (a timetable). It wasn't a short one, though (from the surgery).

All they did was what they were supposed to do. You're supposed to win on your home court.

It was just different, especially when Melo got hurt. We've been playing well with guys out of the lineup, but I think that deflated us a little bit.

It feels good to win on the road. This was almost like a make-or-break road trip for us. To finish up 5-2, I think we should all be proud of what we accomplished . . . but we still have a lot of hard work to do going down the stretch.

He picked his pocket. It was a three or four differential on the shot clock, and I don't know if he was going to foul, but he had good anticipation and made a good play on it and got it clean. That was the best clutch play I've been a part of. It was key, and we really needed it.

I thought Carmelo just lost his cool. That happens sometimes. It will be how he responds, and I think he's going to respond a whole lot better.

I hope so. We need wins. I don't care how they come. We have to find a way to get on a wining streak to distance ourselves from teams in our division. It was definitely a great win.

I've made plenty of money in my time. I'm not worried.

It's frustrating, especially when you don't accomplish your goals you set out at the top of the season. Guys have to hold themselves accountable. Management will have to do something this summer to bring in the right type of guys that want to play the right way.

It's a big game. I don't know what their schedule looks like, but I like home-court advantage. It's definitely big in the first round.

Hopefully we can go out there and get home-court advantage in the first round of the playoffs and take it from there, ... I think we have all of the pieces necessary. We're deep across the front line. We're definitely deep in the backcourt.

The man has been phenomenal. I don't know his status beyond this year, but I would definitely love to see him back here. I think it will be a shame if he's not, because he's been instrumental in Denver making its resurgence.

We don't need any champagne. None of that stuff like they do in baseball. . . . Just a quick acknowledgement. We have a bigger picture . . . (winning the division) hasn't been done in a long time in Denver. It's great for the fans, but we want to get that ring.
