They are particularly unacceptable from a leader in the conservative movement and former Secretary of Education, once charged with the well being of every American school child. Bennett's comments demonstrate a reprehensible racial insensitivity and ignorance. Are these the values of the Republican Party and its conservative allies
This is ridiculous. This is not the America we grew up in. This is a lack of leadership.
There are no ideas in the Republican Party right now in the Congress. They're the party of no. They desperately need some intellectual leadership. And whatever you think of Newt Gingrich, he can supply intellectual leadership. So I hope he does run.
Tom DeLay himself has never been the issue. DeLay is a symptom of a larger diseasea sick Republican culture of corruption that touches everyone who took his dirty money, voted for his corrupt leadership, or sat silently while their party has sold our government to the highest bidder.
