I'm just going to go out and pitch. I don't pick where I go. I'll let the team decide. I'm just going to pitch and have fun and not worry about that.
It was very surprising. He's obviously a great baseball mind, and he incorporated everybody in the meeting and collaborated a thought, and we're going with it. We came up with a game plan, watched some video. It was nice.

I got behind hitters and made poor pitches. I thought a lot instead of letting things happen. I didn't attack guys like I normally do.
I always had it. I just had to trust in myself. I never gave up on myself. I definitely have a good feel for everything and I feel comfortable I can go out and attack.
Ever since I came to camp, I tried to show people I can win a spot. This year, I just took it day by day, outing by outing. I focused on the mitt and kept it simple. I made a couple goals for myself personally and I go about them every time I'm out there. They are throw strikes and attack.
