Quotes about schumacher (16 Quotes)

When I was racing, we were more used to seeing some horrific accidents. For example, Michael Schumacher is a great world champion, but I haven't seen a weekend where he doesn't go off the circuit. At every race he always has a spin or runs through the gravel trap. He usually doesn't hit anything, but nevertheless it is an error that could not have been made in the days I raced.

It's so funny. Every time I sit down in the classroom, my book bag rings and it's my cell phone, and it's Joel (Schumacher) or Clint (Eastwood) going, 'Do you want to do this movie - and I can't turn an opportunity like that down.

I did Phone Booth, and that was shot very, very quickly, but that was Joel Schumacher, who's shot so many movies that, if anybody can figure out how to do it in a couple of days, it's him.

It's especially good to win against the Schumacher team that has dominated here this decade. Any time you can beat him it's great. I even tried to beat him to the turnoff. I told him the other day I was going to get behind him and draft just to get a bett

Ralf Schumacher had a dramatic start to his Turkish Grand Prix when he was pushed off the circuit at the first corner. But he still managed to claw his way through the field to an eventual 12th place. I had the worst possible start when I was pushed wide

I remember somebody saying to Joel Schumacher about one of his Batman movies, 'Isn't that over the top' ... And he said, 'Well, nobody pays to see under the top.' I wish I could just say that. But I think you learn something when you go to extremes.

Mike has just been so good from the beginning. When I first started with Schumacher, that's who I wanted. I didn't know if I was going to get hired or not, but I told Don Schumacher that if I had a choice, I wanted to work with Mike Neff because he's such a level guy. He doesn't show his emotion a lot. Sometimes we have to beat him up to get him to beat on the hood and get me jacked up. All these great crew chiefs like my crew chief because he doesn't get excited. He doesn't brag, he doesn't get in anybody's face. He just wants to run with them.

I won the championship with maybe not the best car, so I am proud of what I did. The fact that I have taken over the title from Michael Schumacher is a bonus. I came from a country with no tradition in F1. I had to fight my way alone. I have only had the help of two or three people in my career, no more.

I don't think Michael Schumacher forgets how to drive a formula one car. It is just Ferrari having a bad year. Michael does the best possible job with a limited car. But I think Fernando can be as great even if Michael already has seven championships - a crazy number. Fernando has the potential to do that because he is made to be a champion. He is also much calmer than Schumacher. Forget what you see in public - where Alonso is smiling and Schumacher is concentrated. I know them both very well and I promise you Fernando has the ice in his blood - more than Michael, who is boiling inside with feeling.

Coach (Scott Schumacher) called play number two and I came off the screen. I was just fortunate that I was asked to make the shot. It reminded me of the last Jacksonville game, when they used a lot of screens on us. It feels good to knock them out of the tournament.

Any of these guys in the points chase that say they don't think about it all the time, they're lying. I think about it when I'm taking the kids to school. I think about it in the shower. I call (team owner) Don (Schumacher) every five minutes and ask him if it's time to go racing.

The real similarity I see between Michael Schumacher and Fernando is their self-belief. Like Michael, Fernando has total conviction in his own abilities - he is able to see the target he has to reach and then go out and achieve it. It is almost as if these guys set a personal best every time they get in the car. I think it is characteristic of champions, that ability to perform when it counts.
