    The conditions are perfect. When it's warm, the ball does go farther and it makes the golf hole a lot shorter. That's why the first hole I hit driver, nine-iron and yesterday I hit a driver, five-iron. So that's the difference with the wind.

    Conditions favored us and not the holes they changed. Today was perfect conditions so we could get it out there. I played pretty decent. I didn't make too many mistakes. I had chances early on.

    At Bay Hill I found a few things in my golf swing, and it's all down to rhythm. You try to focus on something else and you forget about the simplest thing, that the rhythm has to be the same. I'm making putts now. I'm feeling a lot more at ease on the greens, a lot more comfortable there. I'm feeling good about my game. Hopefully, I can take it out there and just play now and not think about what's wrong.

    But coming into the PGA Championship, which starts today, some wonder whether the public has learned to embrace him as one of the worlds best player. Ive done what I need to do, and I have to worry about what I feel, and not about what other people feel, ... And I feel great about my game, myself, and what I have done.


    I don't know if it was easy. If you don't hit good shots, you're going to make a big number out there. But it wasn't difficult for me to shoot 67.

    The key was hitting more fairways, and when you hit more fairways you get chances for birdies. You can't make birdies from the rough here.

    Game plan tomorrow is go out there, hit a lot of fairways and hang in there and see if I can make a lot of birdies coming in.

    I feel like I'm in great position right now and if I can go out there and figure the pace of the greens, come out strong tomorrow, we'll see what happens. I'm in a good position, I think.

    It's not a matter of liking it. It needed some sort of a change, and hitting sand wedges on the last two holes, wedge on the last hole ... doesn't make it a good finish. I think it's good. I think it's very fair.

    I have to go out there and not worry about the leader. I have to play another solid round tomorrow and wait until Sunday.

    I think this is the hardest U.S. golf course I've played from tee to green and around the greens. It's going to be one hell of a test.

    I'm playing the best I have for a long, long time. I'm setting up a lot of birdie chances and if I keep doing that, I'll have a good chance on Sunday.

    I think my expectation is too high. That gets me in trouble a lot of times. I'm hitting good shots to 15 feet, and I'm not happy with it. I should take it and go and play the next hole.

    Tomorrow I've got to do it again, I have to shoot the lowest round I possibly can.

    I'm happy I hung in there. You can't win the tournament today.

    The green is so narrow that if you over-club, you've got an impossible bunker shot. If you're short, you're pretty much dead.

    It could have been a lot worse. On two of the holes where I made double, I actually thought I hit good shots, but the swirling wind just grabbed the ball.

    The course was there for the taking. It's a shame nobody could make any kind of run. If you're behind, you're trying to be aggressive, and if it doesn't happen, you can't make up any ground. None of us did. It seemed to bother everyone. Except for Phil.

    That's something to be thought about. I don't know. If we play the other golf course, I'd play.

    There was a lot more wind today and it was really swirling.

    Sometimes it's harder to play with a big lead. I've found that out myself. Instead of trying to win the golf tournament, you don't want to lose it. If guys are catching up ... you kind of start to get nervous.

    I never got into any trouble and when I did, I got out of it quite well.

    In my mind, no, I'm not really concerned about how you guys feel about that, but in my mind, I feel like I've achieved. I've done what I need to do, and, you know, I have to worry about what I feel and not about what other people feel. And I feel great about my game, myself, and what I have done. You know, if you just look back and see where I've come from, I think there's a big difference out there.
