It's hard to articulate, ... It's a feeling now that things are just different than they have been here in the past. I know that a lot of us have taken pride in being a Seahawk and taken pride in our job and what we do. But it's a little bit different now.

I don't know if we have talked to those guys as much as we see how they conduct themselves. Joe has just been going about his business like he has all year. ... You just continue to be professional.

All year we've had guys that we aren't necessarily counting on stepping up and being guys we can count on. In that way, today was no different for us.

It was like an away game for us. If 90 percent of them were Steelers fans, 10 percent were Seahawks fans, and I thought the Seahawks fans were as loud if not louder at times.

The truth is the truth. People expect the Steelers to win this game. Oh, well. We're not getting caught up on it. It is what it is. We're just going to go out and try to play the best football that we can. The Steelers are a very, very good team.

Decision-making is probably more important than how you throw the ball. That's part of my job. I don't take it lightly.

One of the things was that I don't scramble on second down. Like I have any care or thought about what down it is when I decide to scramble.

We just had opportunities to score touchdowns, but we didn't score touchdowns. We were moving the ball fine, rhythm, time of possession, first downs, yards...we just couldn't score touchdowns.

We weren't a very good team and I wasn't a very good quarterback. I thought I knew all the plays inside and out. But Trent knew the plays better than anybody, and in meetings I'd watch him sit and take notes like he'd never seen them before. It rubbed off.

Whatever we may have lost in talent, we gained in accountability and professionalism and leadership.

When I said that, whenever it was, two years ago, that's how it was, having fun with some good friends. It's just a sign of the friendship. There's a core group of guys when I played here. There was something special about that team.

It was like an away game for us, there's no question about that. But if there were 90 percent Steelers fans and 10 percent Seahawks fans, I thought at least the Seahawks fans were just as loud, if not louder at times. I give those Seahawks fans a lot of credit. They did a great job.

Those guys played hard and they played well. They the Jaguars were bringing a lot of pressure, so I didn't get to see the end of a lot of those plays. But there were times when I would throw the ball, just get rid of it, and kind of listen to hear what sounded like a completion.

What else is he going to do You can only play so much golf, or do so much hunting.

I'm sure some of the coaches are aware of it, or the people who have been in the building for a long time are aware of it. But a lot of our guys are young. They don't remember, and they don't really care. What we do care about is this team, this year and what we can do.

We just didn't execute to the best of our ability today. We were close a couple of times, but close doesn't get it done.

For our team, it was we should really just go out and play to make our parents proud, so to speak.

We have played to earn respect, and the way you earn respect is by going out and winning the next game you play. That approach has helped us get here. I don't know too much about Pittsburgh and what their year has been like. Let's just go out and take care of business. It sounds like that is the sort of formula that has helped them get here, too.

He's a pro and he worked hard. And I give him a lot of credit. We asked him to do a lot. He came through when we needed him.

I'm not worried at all about Bobby. I'm not worried at all about Darrell. In the past, Darrell hasn't practiced at all with the team and come out and had the best games of his career.

I got fooled by my receiver Darrell Jackson. You can't make the mistakes we made and expect to win.

Hopefully it is a little louder than it was last week. It was awesome last week. Set the bar a little higher see if we can make it a little better.

Our fans have been great. That crowd noise, people underestimate it, but it's important and our fans take a lot of pride in that, too. They're a part of this, they're a real part of this thing.

It's almost unfair. Some people sleep on the flights, but I tend not to sleep because I am so enamored by all of the stuff on the plane. The bathroom that is right in front of my seat is nicer than the bathroom in my first house that I owned.

When I first got here, people talked about the 12th Man at Husky Stadium, and I didn't believe it. When we moved into Qwest Field, it's been different, especially the last three years. I've played in a lot of stadiums, and this is the loudest. Dome or no dome, our fans, for whatever reason, know how to get loud.

I thought I had it. It was a real bad break for us when Bobby ran into the official.

It is hard when he is not able to practice. Even though there is that chemistry there, it is still tough. Having him back, and really having the whole team back, was great.

When he went down, their guys were excited and our crowd answered back in a great way with kind of an MVP chant. It was good for our offense and we felt we actually had the momentum after that.

No, I don't really care. Either way, it's going to be a tough game. Whoever it is, I'm just glad we get to play it at our place. It will be fun to watch and let everybody beat each other up.

All those guys were trying to win the MVP. Somebody must have told them they had a shot on defense, and they were going for it.

It was a one game deal here. We were talking about this game and this game only...I have learned this week that people dogged the Seahawks because they don't think there is history, but there is history here.

It was really a team win today. It's just really a great feeling right now to win this game.

I think every team I have been on you have a group of guys that are really helping pull the team in the right direction. Then you have a couple guys that are pulling it in a wrong direction. Everybody else is sort of on the fence,

We know you guys are new, we don't care, and we're not going to get ultra-conservative. We believe in you guys and we're going to let you make plays.

I'm not worried at all about Shaun because like we've all seen, Shaun Alexander plays his best games in the spotlight. When games are the biggest he seems to play his best. And we've never played a game this big.

I hit him on a very similar route against Kansas City three years ago. He saw me and said, 'Hey, good throw, it's just like Kansas City.' I mean, that was three years ago. So that experience, and the reps that we've had together, it's hard to replace that.

I think most of us are just really worried for him. You realize that the choices you make are important and there are consequences to some decisions -- and that off-the-field issues are very important.

If there's a chance to get him the ball, I'm going to get it to him. He's earned it, and I want to give him every opportunity.

I wasn't scared we were going to give it away or anything like that.

Robbie's here, he's earned it, it's a great honor. We joke about it at home, but he's got to be the leader of the offensive line out here.

It obviously helps playing at home with our crowd into it the way they were today.

We climbed to just about the top of the mountain. We were like 10 feet away and had to turn around and go back. It was a great journey and a lot of good came from it, but at the same time, we didn't finish what we set out to do.

There's a little bit of motivation when people don't believe in you, and there are people who don't believe in our team. There are people who say they're not that good. That's a little bit of a motivating factor, but it's not something we're hung up on.
