It was a tough race. It was long and a lot of side-by-side racing action. It was a good race overall, though. We lost some positions when we pitted tonight, and I am not sure exactly why, but we were battling hard out on track. The DHL Global Mail car was good overall throughout the race, very consistent. It was fun at the end fighting with cars to earn my eighth place finish. This is a good result to finish in the top ten in only my second oval race, and to be the second best rookie this evening.

It is very difficult to figure out what the problem is. The DHL Global Mail car is not in bad shape, it has good balance and all. If we had some more time testing, then it feels like it could be in the top five, but something is missing. Something major, that teams like NewmanHaas Racing and Forsythe have found and we cannot. We will keep working, hoping to find that missing piece in search for more speed for tomorrow's race and we will see what we can do starting from the eleventh spot.

You kind of alluded to it in your introduction. I mean, for the last 300 or so years, the exact sciences have been dominated by what is really a good idea, which is the idea that one can describe the natural world using mathematical equations.
