All of life, creation, animals, birds,
other than those who live in the sea
sealed in, the door closed by God
safe in the ark, riding on the waves
The destruction, the flood
to cleanse the earth
but sinful man
still within the ark
God’s rainbow
written across the skies
a promise by the creator
never to flood the earth
In this promise, his covenant
hope for all the world
all of mankind, never to be wiped out
on this we have his word
Love, unconditional
offered by him for all
in this the seeds of history
the people of the book
and our creator, our savior, God
