Pure white clouds
like pulled cotton
partially transparent
translucent, shining
a living backdrop
for the willows dancing
Arms moving like octopi,
sea anemone fingers
with pom-poms of green, silver
dancing to the autumn breeze
the rhythms of the dance
a mystery to me
dancing for a hidden master
singing praises for the season
to the creator, our king
October 7, 2010
Fall in New England
walk to Pembroke Village School,
waiting while the girls played
on the playground
2:15-2:57pm
as the clouds came and went
and came again
