For a plan, a prophesy
for the will of God, he suffered
he had to suffer
So sure, so clear,
foretelling his own suffering
knowing, as he did
the steps of his life
soon to be played out
his face toward Jerusalem
inexorably leading to the cross
no turning back,
following the father’s will;
why he suffered.
