Sitting high, up on a pedestal
Perhaps a bit out of our reach, our grasp
beyond our understanding, our ken
that which we value, that which we worship
Our God, the creator, our savior
He must be held, valued, cherished
above all others, not one among many
on a pedestal not of stone, not of gold
not of human hands
on the pedestal,
the altar of our hearts
