It was a moment of fate
a convergence of events
that gave me an opportunity
chance to capture
spark in a bottle
moment of time
rich cool color
frozen now
but momentary then
volcanic ash,
lights lit and unlit
framing of the shot
long shutter speed
a tripod and cable release
gave me the presence
to see it
preserve it
