Simple food, the bread the wine
more today
symbols, of the Passover
the birth, the Lord’s last supper
The giving, sharing
his body, his blood
broken, for each of us
Offered, willingly
love come to earth
offered on the cross
The richness of the elements
the love revealed
in the simple meal we share
